What? An actual deviation? What is this, I don't even.

Anyway, I was working on a paper for class when I happened to notice the sky was on fire. I thought to myself, might as well take a picture while I'm waiting for the flames to fall.

So, the lazy person that I am, I got up and headed to the window to take a shot with my tiny, old, cheap camera. This is the crappy result. Thankfully, the sky was a great model. It can really work it.

Someday, maybe I'll get a real camera. And photography lessons. And a dog.

Beautiful sky; it really models well for you. Usually by the time I get my camera out and focused on the sky it's moved on to other more boring things. :giggle:

Nice! :D congrats on joining the photography world! My camera's not fancy either, and I got solid pics (or so people have said :))... as long as the motivation is there, everything else will work out (and from this pic, I'd say it already has)! :#1:

A personal choice, and this would be me and not everyone necessarily... if you have a photo editing thing, I'd have cropped a bit off the top, both to make the pic a bit more of a wide angle type view, and to have the busiest and warmest places in the pic take up a larger percentage of the shot... then again the blue is a great contrast, and it makes tons of sense to keep it as well... one of the nice things about the art would is having a variety of correct answers to choose from...
