One time, I had this great idea that I wanted to go hiking in this pretty huge nature reserve in Orange County, CA that I had never been to before. It looked somewhat far away by the looks of the map, but it looked so pretty on the website that I couldn't resist.

An hour and $3 for a toll later, I found out the park was closed due to mudslides. But I didn't want my trip to go to waste, so I drove around for another 30 minutes trying to find other nearby trails that were actually open. I found one, but there was no where to park. So I ended up parking at a bar down the street and walking to the entrance.

And I was pretty impressed with what I stumbled on. Obviously, my photography skills are lacking, but this is just a taste of what it looked like. I didn't feel like I was in the busy setting of Southern California. I felt like I was in the country once again.

I had hoped that I could sit under that huge tree and enjoy the sun, but this was actually part of a farm. :B Like, there were cows grazing just a little to the side.

This is pretty amazing. :O

What I really like about this piece, though, is the way it all curves, if you get what I mean? As if you had a fisheye lens or there was something to curve it all... Either way, I feel as if it makes things more comfortable, and the different aspects also frame the piece more effectively as well if it is curves as such.

The colours are lovely and I think it's great how the sun's flare is quite tiny as it shines through the branches. It's quite fascinating how the tree comes out from nowhere and blends in with the tree standing upright, if that makes sense. :O
