30/08/12: Almost ready to launch! Alongside this month, `GrimFace242 is conducting a series of cheeky lit interviews for Art History, so keep an eye out for what he uncovers!
There are still lots of slots for people to submit articles too! Don't forget, we can have more than one article on the same day! Please get those proposals in! Who is your favourite author? What Book/Poem has had the most influence on you? Bring it on!
24/08/12: Hey guys, we're still looking to fill this up nice and meaty! Don't forget, the articles don't have to be as in depth as some of you are thinking and can be about specific authors, styles or even something different such as interviews or chat event (get your lit group involved!).
If you're not sure about your idea, please still send it in, we have a wonderful crack commando unit who are helping for crimes they didn't commit in the backroom. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, you can use this team!

Art History: Week 1 RoundupSo Literature Art History has kicked off, and kicked off in pretty good style! We’ve had our first week of articles, which have been both educational and thought provoking! If you haven’t seen these articles yet, please do check them out, and most importantly favourite and comment on them to show your support!

Welcome to the first day of the giveaways! I hope that everyone is able to enjoy these tasks, especially since they come with some really awesome prizes!

To kick it off, I want you to do a small bit of writing.
Task 1: Write a holiday themed haiku.
If you are unsure what a haiku is, here is a sample;
Christmas tree shining
Decorations on display
Milk and cookies out
Haiku follows a 5-7-5 format. Five syllables in the first one, seven in the second, and five in the third.
For everyone who completes this task, you will be assigned a number then tomorrow morning you will be put into a random drawing for the three month premium membership.

Banjo-Kazooie was one of my favorite games growing up. While I did find it quite difficult at times, I enjoyed the immense variety it offered -- puzzle games, various worlds, interesting characters -- ingredients for a well-rounded video game. When I stumbled upon this piece by ~t-bone-0 the other day, all of those warm memories came flooding back. It made me wonder, "What other Banjo-Kazooie fan art can I find?" And with the help of More Like This, I was able to relive those memories all over again.

Oh wow. Banjo-Kazooie had me totally enraptured when I got it for the N64. The kid in me was mesmerised by the quality cartoon visuals and the gamer in my was sucked in by the excellent and varied gameplay.

Everything, from the genuinely humorous writing, to the wonderful music was absolutely perfect and when I bought it over Xbox Live a year or so ago I was delighted to see how well it stood the test of time.

Really, thanks for showing us this fantastic art and reminding us why we loved the game in the first place!
