10TH BIRTHDAY BASH GET PUZZLE'D COMMUNITY CONTEST
You remember what it was like. Opening a dusty cardboard box, yellowed with age, found in Grandma's attic. Dumping the 500 puzzle pieces on the kitchen table. Striving for several tedious hours to complete a picture of assorted flowers in a vase, or a kitten playing with string. Filling time until your parents picked you up from dear ol' Granny's place. Boring.
Well, this puzzle is nothing like that! We're taking a fun and innovative take on a classic puzzle game, to celebrate deviantART's 10 years on the Interwebs!
The game is simple: put the pieces of the puzzle together to reveal a secret image. Act quickly, because the clock is ticking! The deviants with the fastest times will be displayed upon finishing the puzzle.
Every deviant who successfully finishes the puzzle and submits their high score will receive our official 10th Birthday Badge!
Just click on the 'Start' button to begin. Keep in mind these helpful tips:
- To move a puzzle piece, simply click on the piece and drag it to anywhere on the board. Once you select a piece, it will be on top of the pile, so you are aware of the one you clicked.
- To rotate a piece, click on the piece, then hit the spacebar or the arrow keys in the direction you want the piece to rotate. You can also rotate the piece by selecting it and scrolling up and down the page, but be warned, this may cause the piece to spin quickly.
- Once you find two pieces that fit together, drag one next to the other, and if they're a true fit, they will automatically mesh together as one.
- The puzzle won't take up the entire space, so feel free to use the extra space to drop pieces you are unsure about.
Once all the pieces are together, submit your high score to automatically receive the 10th Birthday Badge!

- Membership to deviantART is free.
- Feel free to play as many times as your heart desires, but remember you can only get the 10th Birthday Badge once.

I announced the deviantART Related Collaborations Contest about two months ago, and during the time it ran, received about twenty different, amazing entries! As every entry was in some way a collaboration between two or more people (and some entered more than once), that means about 35 people participated altogether. It was great to see so many people, often from different mediums and areas of the site come together to collaborate and create something together.
