Super Groups Benefits:
Highlighted rank in the Groups directory. Stand out from the rest with the golden "super" badge.
Choose between four different layouts. Choose the look and feel that's right for your Group with extra customization.
Have automatic skinning powers. Utilize Journal skins to make your group shine apart from the rest.
Rename administrative classes. Is your Super Group run by a bunch of animals? Maybe a horde of zombies? Show off your unique style by giving more accurate titles to founders, co-founders, and contributors.
To take advantage of this deal, go to the Group you would like to upgrade and choose the 'Upgrade to Super' or 'Renew Super' button. Remember, the button is only visible to Group administrators, so be sure to prod your leaders!

~deviantART is a business, and a needs to earn revenue to keep a float. We all understand that, but as consumers, we don't want to spend too much money, and that's a fact. In truth, most people can't afford to spend that much money or for giggles, are cheap bastards. The price advertised was slightly lower than the previous years, If I'm not mistaken it was $59.95 last year. Unless some people desire to expand their group and has some magnificent updates and upgrades to their group which they will need to rely on the super group functions, they may choose to go for this, but others may have found that there wasn't enough offered for that price. In my own personal opinion, I found Super Groups do have the potential to dazzle the eyes, but still needs improvement. For what they offer, at this price, its not worth it at this point in time. In my own personal opinion, I agree with the respectable deviants below, I would be interested in renewing it if it was equal to a premium membership for 12 months ($29.95), but for now, No thank you, too rich for my blood for getting too little. For everyone else, Its up to you, If you can't afford it but still want it, I hope you earned enough donations for it.

There is a lot of key things that many people pointed out that if you guys have any respect for us members you would take into accounting. I have always paid up front so that the members in my group can enjoy their experiences it a little more and so that the people I hire in my group can work a little better seeing as groups don't have many benefits for administering when it comes to helping the founder out if your group isn't a super group. But now I'm feeling like a total idiot for spending money on something that isn't even worth it. You guys need to lower the price or at least the discount. Hell, what would be better is if you guys at the very least offer more things for super groups! I know that hundreds of people have giving you guys more then thousands of ideas in what you can add or improve with groups.
Though who am I kidding. I'm sure that what I say isn't even going to be looked at, and by some miracle it is, I'm sure its going to not even be taken into thought or just pushed aside because I'm just so annoying member "bitching" and "complaining" when really I just want the site and the things that you guys do offer to improve a little more on the things that I and many others care about.
To be bluntly honest, there are only two benefits of having a super group - polls and the ability to have subfolders in folders and collections. The banner is worthless; I've never had anyone join because they saw my group was super and my biggest group isn't even listed on the first page of search results! The super badge should get an automatic bump to the top of search results.
I can add the CSS myself to a journal. It really isn't a benefit if anyone with a subby can add CSS to a journal and then submit it to the group.
Groups need a lot of work. A whole group forum is a must, not just one in the backroom. Managing members and deviations needs to be lot easier and faster. As it is I'm not up to even spending $50 to re-up my first group.
