Now a lot of you know Danie as the big chief of the Community Relations team, but I doubt half of you truly know how much of a hard worker Danie is. Not only does she have to look after us lively lot (and by “lot” have you seen how big the CV team is?!), but she works on copious behind the scenes projects on deviantART, making this place just a little bit more devious and better for all us Artists out there in the big dA community. Not only this, but she has to have a life at the same time!
Now we have decided to use Danie’s birthday for three things:

Updates to the New Submit Page, Journal ThumbnailsUpdates to the New Submit Art Page (Available to some Beta Testers)
Please note: The new Submit Art page is being A/B tested -- meaning that we're comparing the effectiveness of two different versions of the feature. If you're a Beta Tester, there's a 50% chance you'll either see the new or old version of the Submit Art page. This is expected behavior and there's no way to switch between the two groups.
Integration of Prints Submission
The Prints submission menu has been incorporated into the Submit page! This change makes for a complete integration of the submission process, allowing you to upload, submit, and sell your art, all in one process, all from one page.

FAQ Revamp PT3Another busy week for the FAQ Revamp. Some new FAQs have been added and we removed quite a large number of FAQs, but have no fear the majority of the information removed was actually merged to create more beneficial FAQs or it was completely obsolete. Since the beginning of our project we have removed a total of 42 FAQs and added in 15.
The following are some of the things we have worked on this week.

Today is a day for gratitude -- giving thanks for what you have and what you've been given. It's a time for remembrance and enjoying the company of others. And though Thanksgiving is not celebrated everywhere in the world, being thankful is still important to keep in mind.

We're asking you to tell us what you're thankful for! It could be anything -- the people in your life, the weather, your lunch, or, maybe just that it's Thursday, the best day of the week.

I am thankful for having a roof over my head, getting work, my big fluffy golden retriever, my crazy kitty, my family (of course!). All things considered I certainly have a whole lot more to be thankful for than to worry about, and that in and of itself is wonderful. Sure things could be better and I'll keep going for that, but I've definitely have oodles to be thankful for.

Like I said at dinner today:

... I'm just thankful.

I'm thankful we weren't hit hard by Hurricane Sandy and the other extreme weather events happening around the world this year. I'm thankful that I have a roof over my head and food on my table, clothes on my back and gas in my car. I'm thankful that even though I'm no longer in my long term sub position (re: regular paycheck) that I learned as much as I did while I was working. I'm thankful that I even have a job - rare as it is that I'm called in. I'm thankful that my parents are in good health (relatively). I'm thankful I have a sister and that we're as close as we are.

So. Yeah.

I'm Thankful For Just Being Able To Have What I Have, Being Family, Friends, And Whatever I Own.

I've Spent The First 8 Years Of My Life Getting Everything I Ever Wanted And Needed. From Age 9 To My Current Age Of 17 I Have To Constantly Worry About...Well Alot Of Things; Do We Have Food For Anything (Whether It Be Breakfast, Lunch, Or Dinner), Will We Have Electricity, Will We Have Heat/Air, Will We Even Have A Roof Over Our Heads. Times Are Tough So I'm Very Thankful For Everything I Have.

And A Big Thank You To The Food Bank Of Maryland For Providing Us With Thanksgiving Dinner

community! My life is a gift, and I feel so blessed with all the positives in my life. And I'm even sort of thankful for the hardships I have faced, am facing, and may face in the future, for I know they will make me stronger as a person. And I am thankful to my God for giving me life!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL WHO CELEBRATE IT!!! And my best wishes to everyone, regardless of whether they celebrate Thanksgiving or not!
