Train Your Brain Contest Winners

The Art Department (TAD) and deviantART challenged you to submit work in five disciplines, and the TAD judges certainly saw A+ work! The TAD faculty, who did all the judging, were extremely impressed with the talent and promise shown. Check out their winners who rose to the top of the class!

  • A trip for two to tour Pixar Studios in Emeryville, California.
  • Three online classes through The Art Department, chosen from foundations and elective course offerings.

Ten Second Place Winners will receive:

Two classes through The Art Department, chosen from foundations and elective course offerings.

Twenty Third Place Winners will receive:

  • A full scholarship to The Art Department Illustration Academy 4-Week Workshop in Kansas City, MO, USA, consisting of travel, tuition, housing, and art supplies.
  • Two classes through The Art Department, chosen from foundations and elective course offerings.

The reason I never join these contests... the people who win them are already so awesome at art... You'd think for a contest with prizes involving LEARNING art, that someone who still needed classes pretty badly could win. But their art wouldn't be "the best" so they can't win.

Bleh.
I liked the Illustration and the 2D art winners. Didn't care for the rest much. The animation winner at least made me feel like it was a still from an animation. But...
