Welcome to #PremiumContent!

Fri Nov 2, 2012, 6:12 PM by Ayame-Kenoshi:iconayame-kenoshi:
Welcome to the new PremiumContent group!  Home to everything related to the Premium Content Platform -- updates, spotlights on top sellers, tips about how you can best use the Platform to further your art, and creative ways the deviantART community is taking the Platform to the next level.

As you may know, the Premium Content Platform provides the ability for content creators to become sellers, who retain 80% of all revenue earned. Buyers, meanwhile, get access to the awesome digital content they want, with the satisfaction of supporting the artists they love.

The Premium Content Platform launch is a staged release.  Over time, all deviants will be given ability to become sellers.  (Those who have the ability to sell will be notified with a Hot Topic notification in their Message Center.)  All members are currently enabled to buy content.

Keep an eye on PremiumContent for journals detailing the latest Premium Content trends.  Be sure to +watch/join this group to be the first to receive updates!

Let us know:
  • Have you made Premium Content available for sale? (Share a link! It may be featured in our next journal.)
  • Have you purchased Premium Content or found anything especially interesting for sale?

I applaude DA's initiative. I'm just testing the waters as a seller here, but I love it and I see great potential.

The only thing I see people wanting desperately is a way to search and browse specifically for premium content. And I completely agree with it.

Cheers!

So far, I have two Premium Contents available, but will soon be adding more ;D [link] I would like to try to use the platform to allow for easy commissions. This way, there is one form of payment and I can choose how I redeem that. Sometimes they may offer points, which I would rather have through my PayPal, and vice versa. So my goal would be to do all commissions via dA's platform.

actually, when selling resources, you get the entire amount you set.
so if you set a $2 price, you get that amount. DA then adds their fee onto your price.

Well done. A group to support this new Premium Content Platform is very nice indeed.:nod:

I've used it to sell high quality wallpapers from my photos. Not sure yet if the price is right and/or fair... but I hope I learn more about it with the group.

A couple of my deviations using the platform: [link] [link]

Much love to you all. ♥

So this just means that, people have to pay with points to download your picture if they want to? What difference would it make if you download regularly?

People have always been able to buy prints.
Asking for payment for stock resources stops thieves from hotlinking our stock & making it downloadable
without so much as a visit to our galleries.
It costs us $ & time to create stock for others to use.
I think its only fair to ask for a little something in return.
