Daily Features
On my profile page, I feature a new deviation every day (or two or three). The piece is usually something that caught my eye. Could be an amazing digital painting, a fun stamp, a quick photograph that made me smile, perhaps a piece for a weekly theme, whatever.  However, it moved me enough to share it with my visitors. Below is a list of the artists which I featured during October 2012. I am showcasing different pieces from their gallery in the hope of showing them a bit more love. Monthly Food Challenge
It's a new year, so we're changing things up a little bit. Starting in January, a three month premium membership* will be randomly drawn from the members that participate in the challenge. This also means that we will be extra picky with those that do not follow the rules.
Theme of the month
This month we want you to not create clay food, but create food related items!
Example: plates, cutlery, cake stand, blender, teacups, spatula. Make whatever you want as long as the items are primarily made of clay and that they fit the food context.

A Hunt For Literature Begins!!!The new year is upon us, and so is the Literature Scavenger Hunt!!!
The Challenge
This week, #CRLiterature will be hosting a literature scavenger hunt. A scavenger hunt is typically defined as a game played in an extensive outdoor area, in which participants have to collect a number of miscellaneous objects. Our scavenger hunt will be played in the Literature gallery here on deviantART and will have deviants searching high and low for literature deviations that match the items on the list for the hunt. There's a total of 60 deviations to be found (20 poetry, 20 Prose, 5 Script, and 15 general items).
Here is a quick rundown of the all-powerful rules :worship:
:bulletblue: You will have 5 days to locate the deviations, starting on Jan 7 12:00 AM EST and ending on Jan 11 11:59 PM EST.
:bulletblue: Post a link to the deviation along with what number it is in this journal to receive a point.
:bulletblue: A literature piece must be okayed by a :devCRLitera
My review on the commissions widgetAs most all of you probably already know, recently a Commissions widget was released to Beta Testers. I've heard a lot of negativity towards this feature, specially because of the 20% that DA takes from the artist's earnings. But I've always thought that before saying anything about any feature on DA I would prefer to test it first, so I recently installed this widget in my profile offering some simple comissions and now that I've had the oppotunity to test it, here is my opinion.
First, the 20% deduction from your income. Yes I'm not a big fan of it either, in my opinion, the biggest negative of this feature.
I'm not an $admin or a developer and I'm not an economics expert either, so I don't understand the reasons for this deduction, however I know there must be a reason for it besides the obvious that DA needs money to keep itself running. Yes, knowing this doesn't help much, but at
